Fiber Optic Digital Video Transceiver Module

GAO Comm (www.GAOComm.com) has released its fiber optic digital transceiver module – an all-digital module designed to support transmission of four-way video and one-way return data over one optical fiber. The digital transceiver is widely used in closed-circuit TV (CCTV) monitoring systems and intelligent transportation systems. The video transmitter and receiver is compatible with NTSC, PAL and SECAM video formats and is available in either stand-alone or rack mount card versions. The return data pathway supports RS232, RS422 and RS485 protocols.

Nationwide Traffic System Deployed in Australia Using ITIS TrafficScience(TM) Cellular Floating Vehicle Data (CFVD) Technology

ITIS Holdings plc (ITIS) is pleased to announce, together with their local licencee Traffic Intelligence and cellular operator SingTel Optus Pty Limited (Optus), the commercial launch of the first nationwide traffic information system in Australia to use Cellular Floating Vehicle Data (CFVD). Covering over 70,000 km of roadway, the system will be branded Optus Traffic View (OTV) and has been available since June 2009.
